Excitement is in the air as we gear up for our highly anticipated Bee Package Pickup Day and Installation Event! If you’ve placed an order for bees, mark your calendars for April 11th, because it’s going to be a day filled with bee-autiful experiences and community camaraderie.

📅 Date: April 11th 📍 Location: Whaleyville, Maryland

Here’s what you need to know:

Bee Package Pickup:

  • If you’ve pre-ordered bee packages from our local bee club (pre-order before April), this is the day to collect your buzzing bundles of joy! Our association will be on hand to assist you with the pickup process and answer any questions you may have about your bees.

Package Installation Event:

  • Before you load up your bee packages, we invite you to join us for a special installation event. Led by experienced beekeepers, this hands-on session will guide you through the process of installing your bees into their new hives. YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN SUIT AND GLOVES TO PARTICIPATE. This event is open to ALL club members or bee package purchases (you can pay your year LESBA membership dues that day of $25 if you did not order a package but would like to attend).

What to Expect:

  • Guidance from Experts: Our knowledgeable beekeepers will be there to provide step-by-step instructions and offer valuable tips and tricks for successful package installation.
  • Community Bonding: Connect with fellow beekeepers, share experiences, and forge new friendships as we come together to celebrate our shared love for beekeeping.
  • Q&A Session: Have questions about beekeeping or need advice on hive management? Our experts will be available to address any queries you may have and provide guidance tailored to your needs.

Important Note:

  • Please ensure that you’ve made arrangements to transport your bee packages safely. We recommend bringing a suitable vehicle equipped to accommodate your bees for the journey back to your apiary.
