Certainly, during current COVID-19 crisis all are improvising, as needed, to maintain excellent daily health. Changes must be observed to minimize personal contact and to prevent spreading of this virus. Beekeeping practices are no exception.
— All MD State Bee Inspectors, including myself, are not allowed on site to inspect bees until further notice.
— However, beekeepers may feel free to call for hive related questions.
— Individuals may still manage their own bees as desired.
— Package bees will not be sold and distributed locally as in past years. Individuals may order bees/queens online as needed.
— Remember, spring is here – time to check mites and treat as necessary, reverse brood boxes, re-queen and super hives for soon honey flow.
— Enjoy your bees and stay well all!!
